Team from Tongeren

The Belgian Student Team from Tongeren for the Comenius project "Partners in Patterns" invites everybody involved with this project to our forum located on our website www.partnersinpatterns.eu.tt
(This should become www.partnersinpatterns.com in the future).

The purpose of this forum is to unite everybody involved, communicate about the project and to make friends with people from the other participating countries. We hope that this forum will become the main communication source, including for the teachers. We hope to see you soon in our forum.

Mme Lybaert had a question not related to the comenius project: how do you say "happy new year" in Spanish, Swedish, Irish and Italian? She wants to know this because our school wants to put that on this years new year-cards.

The "partners in patterns" project has been selected for
the top 100 of e-learning awards 2006.
The shortlist has been selected from the almost 550 entries submitted to the eLearning Awards.
More than 30 countries are represented in the selection.

The crop circle lesson plan is now available in 12 European languages.
New lesson plans in Galician and Czech language

The rules of the postcard competition

Postcards will be produced on the subject "Patterns"
It starts with a competition in november at every school with all the pupils engaged.

The cards can be handmade, created by the computer,
digitalphoto from the nature, religion, history, buildings etc.

The original size can be A4.

Every school chooses 10 cards (winners) before the end of the year 2006

In the middle of January the 10 cards are sent to all the other schools.

Totaly there will be 70 interesting cards for a local exhibition at every school, library, bank etc.

After 2 weeks (first week february) we have voted for 2 (or 3 ?) cards from every other schools.

The Swedish partners will ask the printingfactory to print them size A6 and produce the postcards. (march)

The postcards can be sold by pupils and local shops to increase the budget for travelling or materials for the project.

Patterns in a Swedish garden furniture factory

It all started in Sweden for us. My first pattern pictures were taken during a factory (of garden furniture) visit with students.
